Born and raised in Dracena, a countryside town in São Paulo, Laura always harbored a natural curiosity for beauty. From an early age, her eye for design was shaped during fitting sessions in the atelier of her seamstress—aptly named Aurora. Together, Aurora and Laura’s mother cultivated a traditional approach to dressmaking: meticulous handcraft, slow artistry, and immaculate finishing.
Laura grew up surrounded by fashion imagery, elegant wardrobes, and sun-drenched summer scenes, split between Dracena and family trips to her ancestral homeland of Italy.
She initially pursued a career in law, specializing in environmental law. After practicing for several years, her creative calling prevailed. She moved to Milan to study fashion, and upon returning to Brazil, joined the founding editorial team of Harper’s Bazaar Brazil as a stylist.
In time, Laura chose to step back from the fast-paced editorial world to reprogram her lifestyle—embracing a quiet, reinvented perspective on both life and design. A calmer, more conscious path, guided by the rhythm of human hands.
Rooted in this tapestry of memories, authentic connections, and slow craftsmanship, her debut collection was born: Dracena.
